Hello, I'm Amy!
After spending many years in Marketing for various great companies, I was always searching for more. I felt there was always something missing. Despite my corporate roles having elements of creativity, I needed more. It was time to put myself first. I left my job and moved to Devon where my mum (Annabelle) had been living for the past 5 years. My mum also craved creativity in her everyday life, and following a number of pottery classes over the last year, a true love of pottery was born for both of us.
After buying some clay, a few glazes and a kiln, the love was truly cemented. As I lifted finished pieces out of the kiln, the joy that I experienced encouraged me to expand the space, buy a wheel, and create my very own studio, allowing others the opportunity to share this feeling.
The name, Forget-Me-Knot, is inspired by many things. The tiny blue forget-me-not flowers are symbolic of my mum and I's relationship, representing true love and respect. Giving someone these blooms represents a promise that you will always remember them. The knot represents unity, affection and unbreakable bonds.
I'm so excited to open the doors of my studio to all who wish to play with clay and learn alongside me as I continue our pottery journey! None of this would be possible without the support and knowledge of my mum, so I owe it all to her!
