I'm Amy, and by my side is my mum, Annabelle. We are the mother-daughter duo at Forget-Me-Knot, in Loddiswell, South Devon.
After spending many years in Marketing for various great companies, I was always searching for more. I felt there was always something missing. Despite my corporate roles having elements of creativity, I needed more. It was time to put myself first. I left my job and moved to Devon where my mum had been living for the past 5 years. Annabelle also craved creativity in her everyday life, and following a number of pottery classes over the last year, a true love was born for both of us.
After buying some clay, a few glazes and a kiln, the love was truly cemented. As we lifted finished pieces out of the kiln, the joy that we experienced encouraged us to expand our space, buy a wheel, and create our very own studio, allowing others the opportunity to share this feeling.
Our name, Forget-Me-Knot, is inspired by many things. The tiny blue forget-me-not flowers are symbolic of our relationship, representing true love and respect. Giving someone these blooms represents a promise that you will always remember them. The knot represents unity, affection and unbreakable bonds.
We are so excited to open the doors of our studio to all who wish to play with clay and learn alongside us as we continue our pottery journey!
